Got lucky on EBAY and found this magazine, Society, April 1997 issue that has an article about Bombay Boys with a few pictures and quotes of Naveen!

Posted on 01/22/2013 18:25

It was made, but I cannot find anywhere that it was actually shown on TV.  Christopher Titus did talk about it once, saying how absolutely terrible it was.

Does anyone remember in the commentaries.....I think for the pilot someone said that they had worked with Naveen on another pilot where he played a foppish lawyer....and I don't know any other role that Naveen played close to that and Future Tense was the only pilot he has done, so......I'm thinking it got made but maybe never aired?

I AM SO FREAKING BORED!

NOT ONE NEW NEWS ITEM ABOUT NAVEEN! NOT EVEN A PICTURE OF HIM BUYING A SINGLE CUP OF COFFEE!

And the LAST thing I want so see him in is Once Upon a Time working opposite Barbara, sheesh!

What? He cuts his hair and shaves his beard and all of the sudden he is invisible? Is looking like Sayid the ONLY way people recognise him?

How many times can a person re-watch all the youtube videos of his interviews and re-watch LOST and all his movies.

BORED BORED BORED BORED BORED

How cool is it that the actor that play Sayid's brother in the last season of LOST is going to play Dodi in Diana?

I am sure by now we have all heard of Naveen's new movie coming up, "Caught in Flight"http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2107669/So I'd thought I'd start a thread for it.One thing that I have been wondering about is how Naveen is going to research the role of Dr. Hasnat Khan, who by all accounts seems like a very classy guy who never spoke of his deep feelings for the princess in public.Naveen stayed with Dr. Abraham Verghese, shadowing him to research the role for "My Own Country", but of course that was for a movie based on Dr. Verghese's own book.  BTW, Dr. Verghese said that Naveen was so good at protraying him that Dr. Verghese's own family thought the voice over in the begininning of "My Own Country" was Dr. Verghese himself instead of Naveen!Boy am I excited about this new project, I hope there are alot of Naveen interviews about this movie.

Oh sugar!  That was me guys above, I forgot to sign in before posting, sorry!

Hopefully he will be getting more work.  Sinbad looks promising.  Just wish he wasn't a villian.  I am watching the DVD's of Lost.  Did anyone else notice that after Sayid shot Ben, that he was shot in the same way and also had to be dipped into the spring just as Ben was?  Also if Sayid meant to kill Ben why didn't he shoot better?  Just saying I think Sayid's heart wasn't in it.

I am totally confused....remember the interview Naveen did in Italy where he said he wanted to just take some time to remember who he was and live his life, ending it with saying, "Is that alright?"

I though at the time I really couldn't blame him, having full custody of a young child who WOULDN'T want a "do over" when you were an alcoholic drug addict and struggling with a career during the growing years of your first child who is now almost an adult?

When his name was attached to indie films that didn't seem to make it off the ground I though perhaps Naveen was just lending his name to a struggling projects in hopes that having his name attached to it would help it get the financing needed, but then he does Sinbad, a series filmed in Malta.

THAT'S what confuses me......if you wanted to take time to live your life and focus on raising your son, why commit to a project that is so far from home and a series to boot?  Unless Joshua was with him and it was an opportunity to educate Joshua through travel?

I just have this hard time believing that if Naveen really wanted to get a part an actor of his success and talent should be able to get it if he really tried for it, or is it that Naveen does have this kind of stature in the acting world it's a step backward to go for parts and he just waits for things to be offered to him?  Or maybe he really doesn't want to work and has to be vigorously pursuaded?

SO confused.....

Boy, some inside info would really be welcomed about now!

I just watched Wild West.  I had to get it on VHS but the tape was new so in great shape.  This is a good movie!  You don't even have to be a fan of Naveen to like it.  Seeing Ravi Kapoor so young was a treat too.  Is there any way to petition the distributors to release it in a more affordable manner?  Maybe that could be a new forum, release Naveen's movies!

Boy I sure would love to know how one goes about motivating the right people to re-release certain movies of Naveen that are only available on VHS or not at all.....My Own Country, The Beast, The Peacock Spring, Double Vision, and wouldn't it be major HUGELY exciting to have Naveen actually do commentaries of them?

I would also like to know a little more about YOU DownsE, like for instance, how long have you been a fan of Naveen and what was it that made you such a fan?

I am also new.  My question is regarding his film work.  Is he in Dahn Dahn Dahna Goal and Death Proof?  some sites say yes some list other actors.  Please help.

Naveen Andrews is NOT in Dahn Dahn, I think it is another Indian actor with the first name of Naveen?  And as far as Death Proof, there may be a reference in Death Proof to Grindhouse, but Naveen is not in the movie.

Welcome! btw

Thank you, sorry I took so long to get back.  Still learning navigation.  Is there any pics or videos of his movie Future Tense and his oldest Final Frontier.  Both don't seem to have a lot listed about them.

By the way Janet I am not stalking you.

No worries!  All Naveen Fans are good people in my book!

As for Future Tense and Final Frontier, I haven't been able to find ANYTHING about them, except an interview Christopher Titus mentions how terrible Future Tense is and in one of the LOST commentaries someone mentions how he had worked with Naveen in something where Naveen's character was a foppish lawyer, and since I can't think of anything Naveen has done that is like that character, I am thinking he is referring to Naveen's character in Future Tense.  I think it is the commentary in the first season of LOST, the episode called The Moth......I think....

Maybe we should petition the BBC to release a copy of The Peacock Spring.  If there is enough interest they might consider it worth their while.

I am for that!

Naveen Andrews & Son Go Christmas Shopping

Naveen Andrews took his 5-year-old son Naveen Joshua out shopping in Santa Monica on Saturday (December 24).

The long-haired curly cutie didn't seem to mind that one of his pant legs were out of his boot.

When Naveen was born, the Lost actor was involved in a custody dispute with the mother, Elena Eustache. The two dated when he split from Barbara Hershey.

He and Hershey later reconciled but announced their split in 2010.

Andrews also has a 19-year-old son named Jaisal. He was conceived when Naveen had an intimate affair with his married school teacher.

LOL, "shaking his booty" would be NIIIICCCEEE.....but can you image Mr. Sultry Eyes doing a steamy TANGO?  woooooo hooooo!

Posted on 09/09/2011 05:02

Unfortunately, you are right, appearing on DWTS does sort of mean you are washed up if you have once been established as an actor, but heck......I'd watch Naveen read the telephone book!  Anything!
But boy, would I LOVE Naveen to pull a David Caruso, you know?

I'm in the US.  Maybe BBC America will carry it.

Well May2, that would be just about the ONLY thing that would force me to get cable or a dish network.

This is set to air in the fall of 2012.  That will be over two years with no new Naveen.

It's fall of 2012 for those that can watch it, but what about fans in the U.S.?  Will we have to wait until its out on DVD?
