Update!
(Date Posted:03/11/2009 06:39 AM)
Here is the latest after letting the Park know we've committed to do this.
Robert!
This is great news. I have forwarded this info to Sam, he is our Ranger at FDR.
You can include him with info and updates if you get any.
We have updated our website.
Little
White House page to reflect your participation. Sam will be doing
the same at FDR.
I have talked with Robert Prater, who portrays President Roosevelt; he will be able to make
the end of the program as he works that day. The President will award the
Roosevelt Cup to. . .
I would like to discuss with you the "who" to award the cup to. The
Club, as a whole? I would like to hear your thoughts.
We are looking for some other activities to draw guests on board, no pun
intended, and generate excitement.
I also want to have someone cook about 50 hotdogs to give away making the event
a picnic, and create a leisurely day of sailing and dogs. Something the
President enjoyed doing.
Compass reading, "Nautical Knots" and a treasure hunt perhaps, led by compass for
the pirates among the group. Just some of my thoughts. I look to hear of any
you might have.
Thanks again Robert.
