I just finished a book that others might enjoy if you haven't seen it. It is called "Nobody's Horses" by Don Hoglund and is the story of the rescue of close to 2000 mustangs from the White Sands Military Base. Besides the rescue being interesting there is also some southwestern flavor to the story and also interesting info on the history of the base and the people living in proximity to it. The author was the vet in charge of the rescue.Secondly, if you get Equus magazine I've got a little article in the True Tales column in the March issue. It's about my older mare but I was able to toss in the word "Kiger"! Maybe the next one can be about the Kiger. This was written a couple years ago so the mare is on full retirement now and pretty happy.
