This is Chinook and Calista's stud colt, coming three this year. Hope I do this right!

Thanks Dianne for the pictures!!  This was fun.  (I waited until I had high-speed access)  Nice lookin' guy!  Whenever I see these Kigers it makes me really happy to have one.  They are so striking to me.  I took my guy to a vets for something the other day and boy did he get the compliments, both on looks and behavior.  (I guess what I've been teaching him is sinking in even though he's testy at home)  It will be fun once I can get him out to expose the breed to other people.   In most things I always have what is practical and works well whether or not it looks good.  Seems like these Kigers are the best of both-practical, sound, smart and attractive.

Speaking of sound, there was an interesting article in Equus that you folks might have seen about soundness and things you can do to help your horse stay sound.  This vet that wrote it said that most of it is influenced by genes.  He would almost go so far as to say 80% (almost certain he said 80) of the soundness issues are related to genetics.  Makes the mustangs all the more appealing, doesn't it?

Cindy, My farrier once said that if people could see Kiger feet and what a good foot was supposed to look like that they would never buy a poor footed horse again.
