Steph and I compleated the Headwaters of the Rouge endurance ride last weekend. We had a great time, and came in 21 and 23 out of I think about 65 starting. It was great how many Kigers were there- Jillian McIntosh and Dee-Dee, Gearld Thompson's black gelding riddin by Margo completed his first 50 (way to go!), Richard and Wendy Cook with Kiger Bridger and Tyger also did the 50, and their friend Rusty also rode a Kiger in the 25 (forgot his name). The ride manager was Tom Jones, who I hear won an XP (5 days, 50 miles a day!!) on his half Kiger, and one of the guys working the ride also now has a half Kiger! DeWayne and Betty also came and were great cheerleadersI'm pretty sure Betty probably got some great pics, too- hint hint.... We're looking forward to the next one!!! Brian

That's great, It's so good to see couples having fun with their horses.

I have just one question who won't let the other out of their sight, you two always seem to finish about the same?

Hey Kevin,

I know, it's unusal for two horses to have the same pace, but these two really work well together. For starters, they're pretty married up, so we use that. My big gelding is a lot stronger on the hills, so we put him in front on the ups and downs and he "pulls" Steph's mare along. We do the oppisite on the flats, or if there is another horse in sight ahead of us, this is where her mare is stronger.

Besides, we're just there to have fun, and its more fun riding together!
