I just bought a 32/20 Bf Arms pistol made in Grand Island NE. I took it to the range today and tried to shoot some of  my hand loads which I had made for cowboy shooting many of them did not chamber. I believe that the lead bullets were set to far out. The action was very stiff but now has loosened up. I re sized some empty cases and they fit perfectly. I would appreciate any information that you can give me on this pistol as well as loads.
Thanks
Chuck Beasley

Burt Stringfellow started B.F. Arms in G.I., NE. His guns had minimal chamber dimensions. My friend has a B.F. in 7mm Supermag that he bought from Burt's wife Shirley at a match at the G.I. rifle club and I used to have a T.C. in the same caliber. My brass would not chamber in his gun.

Having a falling block action, the B.F. is sensitive to improperly sized brass since there is no camming upon closing. Neck sized only cases are iffy at best as to whether or not they will chamber.

You may want to check the actual bore diameter of that gun.  If you are making your Cowboy loads for a 'normal' 32-20 then the bullet diameter you are using may be too large for the BF 32-20.....the BF is usually actually a 30-20 and is designed to shoot a .308 diameter bullet.

 Thank you Dtrux
Stamped on the right side of the pistol is 762. I have .308 bullets cast and jacketed, I saw in another post that they are shooting very heavy bullets. If that pistol is designed to handle those heavy bullets of 150 to 195 grains I would like to know that for sure.
