Hi-Mar Club members,
I am looking for a few fishing buddies to fish with throughout the year. I have a well equipped 2008 30ft Mako with all the gear and material we will need. I fish out of Manasquan inlet and usually fish every Saturday and Sunday from now until Nov. I have a 9 year old son Christopher who loves to fish so if you have a son that age who likes to fish you can absolutely bring him along. I pretty flexible on typed of fishing I do so we have lots of options.

I travel every week from Tuesday through Friday so the best way to get in touch with me is through my email, chrisseebode@slbp.com.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Chris

Call me(contact info on the Hi-Mar Members Area Page) when the Fluke are stacked up on the lumps off of Manasquan Inlet.  Your boat is a lot closer than mine at Port Monmouth.  I would be glad to join you, and if the fishing is better up here, you are welcome to come out with me.

Chris,

If one of these fishing buddies can hook up with you, they should hook up with me first so I can give them the gift basket you won at last years fall tournament raffle.  I've brought to all the meetings and events we've had since October, hoping to hook up with you.  I totally understand the work schedule thing.  It's wrapping is getting a little beaten up from the transports to and from, but the "good stuff" is all in contact.

Ron, Steve, and Mike,  I keep the basket at my office, so-o If any of you guys are fishing with Chris let's get together first and help out a brother member.

Also Chris that's a real nice offer, too bad you just enlisted some real scallywags.  The Somali pirates are starting to look like a bunch of Sea Scouts compared to this group!

Catch 'em up!

Sorry Dan I forgot all about that basket.  ANd I'll have you know I was a Sea Scout once upon a time.

Thank you Chris for a fun day on the water.

Very good day today.  Maybe not catching wise but just a great time.  I fished with Chris & his brother Dave.  Boat 30' Mako right in his back yard.  He had every rod holder full with his rods and said I didn't really have to bring anything.  Feels funny fishing with out my own stuff.  I did bring small tackle bag, the wrong one of course.  And my lunch.  Didn't really have to bring that either as Chris  even had extra  food!   LOL  ,

Like I thought we had to run thru the PP canal to get out, an interesting ride.  Especially on the way back in with all the staties running full boar out while we were runnin back in thru the canal. Ran south out of the inlet and ran down to Lavalette to do a little spoon trolling  .  No wire, he uses downriggers.  No fish to be found so we headed north about 3 miles from the inlet and spent the rest of the day drifting for Seabass & Fluke.  Dave caught the only keeper fluke.  Not a lot of seabass but the ones we had were keepers that we didn't have to measure.  Only kept 3 and the fluke for dinner.  We got in around 5:00, & it was like fishing with Bob & Pat Kamienski,  They wouldn't let me do anything.  Dave cleaned the boat, Chris  cleaned the fish.      Then he didn't think that was enough fish so while I was washing up he took some of the fish they caught yesterday and put them in my cooler.
He mentioned that he plans to run for tuna around the middle of July and he def. would like to have one or two guys from the club go with them.  I said I would probably be on a cruise then but that  I do know a couple of club members that might be up for that.  RIght Mike, & Greg?

I think I found our next guest speaker too.  How about a nine year old that can throw a cast net?  While I didn't get to fish with Chris' son, Chris, I did get to watch him throw his cast net from the dock and he handles that net a hell of a lot better at nine years old than I ever could.

Guys shoot Chris an email and get out there and fish!  If you happen to have a son around 9 even better. I am sure you would both be welcome.

Ron,
Thanks for fishing with David and I; we enjoyed the company. I am looking to fish next monday. I'm thinking about a tuna/shark trip. I need to catch my son a shark before they all swim north.
Anyone interested shoot me an email at chrisseebode@slbp.com.
