Fishing is fun and a great way to enjoy the outdoors with family or friends. If you're not sure where to start- this is your opportunity! The NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife is offering FREE 2.5 hour classes this summer at the Pequest Trout Hatchery on four days during the week. The class covers basic equipment, skills and safety tips and includes a trout fishing experience in our well-stocked pond.
Consider planning one of these dates into the vacation schedule. Bring the family or a friend and learn all you need to know to make fishing something you can enjoy for many years to come. If you are an angler who already knows the joy of fishing, pass the word about the classes to someone you know who may be intereseted in learning how to get started.
Classes will be held on August 6, 15, 21 and 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. All equipment is provided. Registration is required to participate in program. Contact Pequest Trout Hatchery at 908-637-4125 for more information.
The Pequest Trout Hatchery is located 9 miles west of Hackettstown in scenic Warren County.
