I gotta tell ya,  that Barry knows how to throw a party!!!!!!!!  I didn't get to fish, and I wasn't able to help with the cooking, but boy oh boy, I was able to clean a few plates.   I was even taught by the master-shucker how shucking clams was like...well nevermind, this is a family site.   A great time was had by all (but thanks Patty, Debbie wont stop talking about high school) and I didn't even have to buy that vacuum cleaner.  Thanks too, to Steve, our imperial leader for saving me a plate.  If you left this picnic hungry, it was no one's fault but your own.  Oh, and by the way, lots of fish were caught.  I'm sure Ron will fill you all in on his own post.
I could not hear the young man's name who spoke after Dennis introduced him, but if there was a dry eye in the crowd, I didn't see it.  This is what it's all about, our donations, time, and energy helped this young man become what he is today, a survivor.  I'm not sure which is bigger, the smile on his face, or the one in my heart.  Thank you all for letting me be a small part in this fantastic club.

As Homer would say; "Doh!!!!!!!!"  I forgot to thank a couple more people that I know of, there are many that I don't know who did what.  Cutler Produce for the donation of the watermelons (alan b. also) MAF Foods (Rudy Dambrisi) for the burgers and my wife to be for that restaurant quality ( I can't believe it's homemade) potato salad...Again, there were a lot of other donations, and thank you all, without your efforts this would not be have been the  success it was.

Don't forget the Brisket, don't know if you got there in time to get any Casey?  Four huge slabs  and it went so fast.  For those that asked me the name of the company that cooked it up and donated it, I believe I said Smokey Joe's?  I was wrong (So what else is new Ron?)  It is Jersey Joe's BBQ:

I was gonna get them to do a pig for my Family BBQ, now it looks like I will have to go for Brisket too...  Menus are on the web site, check it out.

Sounds like everyone had a great time...I was getting over a bad head cold (sinus infection) and was on an anti-biotic.  Last weekend I fished hard (Sat and Sun) very early am and it just made my cold worse.

See ya guys at the July meeting...
