We lucked out with the weather and the fishing for our 2nd 12lb test Bluefish Trip. The Hi-Mar members that participated, accomodated the hordes of hungry Bluefish ready to unknowingly commit suicide. Since we had many "veterans" from last year's trip, there was less of a learning curve to figure out how light that reel drag had to be. Actually, the sound of lines popping was rare, and I even have enough hooks left over for next year. After an hour and a half, we ended the 12 LB test contest(the mates were thankful) and Ron McClelland was the pool winner with the biggest Bluefish. Tm Behany was the pool winner of the "convential"(non-12 Lb test) contest with a "whistle fish". I would like to thank everyone who came, and Jim Curcio for running the pool, Harold Smith, and even though they didn't go Barry Heffernan and Mike Mclean for getting yhe fish to the foodbank. Also thanks to Captain Ed, the MIJO mates and Capt. Mike Scardigno.
