Just purchased a used black MM and need a hard shell case for it. Does anybody know if the Epiphone Les Paul hard shell case fits (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ENLPCS)? It seems like a bargain at $69.99. I plan to make other modifications in the future like an Adjustable Wraparound Bridge from Stewart Macdonald @ $36.92, if it fits; new Grovers (if needed); perhaps a single P90 or Humbucker bridge pickup; and I would love to re-finish. If anybody has any comments, advice, etc., I would love to hear it. Maybe I should have spent the money for one of the older MMs with the P90, but I couldn't find one in my price range in good condition. I am a rock/country player just getting back into playing a lot. I have a Fender Telecaster, a Fender Precision Bass, a Martin 0018, and a Martin Backpacker.

I found a Kaces Old Glory Les Paul case at Musiciansfriend.com on closeout for $49.99 and I talked them into free shipping by buying some strings, etc. I think it is kind of ugly, but it seemed like it might be a good deal at $50. They have a web site. Click to see, if interested, at Musicians Friend.
My MM is arriving tomorrow and I am super excited!

The Kaces Les Paul case fits all right, but not perfectly. It seems like a very good quality case and I think I got a great deal @$49.99 and I talked them into free shipping. I notice it is now listed at $99.99 at both Guitar Center and Musician's Friend. They may have mistakenly listed it @ 49.99, as I had to call to get that price. Here is a picture.

Just wanted to post an update on my Kaces "Old Glory" Les Paul case. The first time I took the guitar out to get a warranty neck adjustment I received two compliments on the appearance of the case, i.e. "cool case". I'll have to admit it is growing on me as well. Of course the MM is a little thin for the case, but I add a couple of polishing cloths and it seems secure.

Update: I purchased a Gibson Les Paul Special SL Gibson Les Paul Special SL a few months ago for a little less than $400 in fairly good shape. It fits pretty well in the Kaces Flag case, and since it came with a Gibson gig bag, the Melody Maker is relegated to the gig bag. I will have to admit that I still play the MM most of the time, I love the simplicity. I have made no MM upgrades other than changing the knobs to Telecaster type.

I saw this old post regarding your Kaces Old Glory guitar case. If you still have it and want to sell it I've got a 17 year old who is just now learning to play and I know he'd love the case - would make a great Christmas gift but everywhere I've checked is out of stock.
