Sites that stream free tv shows etc.... Hulu for instance.. you can watch it on your computer, but can you stream it to your TV? I have Nero Mediahome 4, that came with my LG tv... I can pick shared folders from my computer, and also enter web sites.... a few audio channels work, but the rest either son't work, or I'm doing something wrong..

Just wanted to see what the doctor says..

If your smart tv has a built in browser 2.0 and beyond that allows flash and flash updates you  can watch hulu. "unless hulu has blocked that function"  other ways are connecting PC to the tv "vga or hdmi" or  thru software which I can't think of any free software that allows it , so might as well pay for hulu plus , watching free hulu has become an issue even for androids tablets, ever sense it became a pay per view app..
personally if your PC has a DVI or HDMI , "VGA being last choice" output I would use that , that way everything on your PC is viewable on the TV and with out sync and buffering issues

The Mediahome 4 menu has "add shares" with choices for "online services" for Web TV, Audio Cast, Video Cast... The audio and video cast are sites with .xml... Those .xml seem to load into the program and says "ok" but I see empty folders on the tv...

It's not worth the hassle to do it any other way for me... If that were to work I might watch something here and there... otherwise I save the files I want and watch it on the smart TV anyway.

When I watch through the bluray player, when I can select amazon prime, or hulu plus, Crackle etc.. There is a feature to search the internet. Some things pop up but it mostly seems like Youtube and never the sites like free Hulu.

Boxee use to do it  ,  but hulu blocked it , they really want people to pay for plus , I understand there is a boxee hack that allows hulu, but hulu is always finding new ways to block,  pc to tv connection is the only sure "simple" way with out worrying if it work in the future.. you can search the net for streaming programs , find one that works after hours of playing with the settings then hulu turns around and finds a way to block it.

Samsung smart tv has built in mirroring.. hopefully others will follow, for now roku and chromcast is the cheapest way..

That's gotta be why the Free Hulu never shows up on a search.. they know it's more comfortable sitting on the couch with a TV than watching for hrs on a computer.
