hi! im new here....i don't know much about making and or joining a team for the festival! i would love to get more info about it. i also dont know any jr/young riders in my area and would like to meet some. if anyone could point me in a direction to find more info about the team thing i would appreciate it!thx much!- Katie

Hey "New Here",

I can't give you specifics on forming a new team for the festival but I can point you in the right direction for finding other young riders to share your passion with.  The United States Pony Club has clubs all accross the country and is open to young riders up to the age of 25.  The goal of the organization is to promote horsemanship and horse management through the use of a progressive program that individual riders complete at their own pace.  The major focus is on the eventing sports so dressage is a big component.  You can find a directory of local clubs from the pony club website....I believe it is ponyclub.org.  Though it is too late to help you this year USPC generally does send a team.   Good luck and happy riding.
