If yo are after a bonnet for your mk 1 have you considered a fiberglass replacement?it would be cheaper than getting metal ones made upif you are interested post a reply to this messageif we get enough interest then it could happenkarrie me away

I have just bought rather a large amount of glassfibre  to make panels up for the bus when I remove the windows.


Sop far I have done 6 panels approx 1m sq with a nice flat white gelcoat surface ( laid up on a sheet of glass ) so when fitted I dont have to worry about painting for a while unlike ally sheet. Also I have made them to measure to there is little waste. Thinking of doing the shower walls and all the water tanks too.


Could be another service to add to the bonnet idea :-)

Sounds good, as long as they aren't too expensive, but im sure we can sort something out.

Yes,   You can book one fibreglass MKI bonnet for me.       Might take an option  for shelving a second.    All depnds on price !       yours - LR -exporter

so far there are about 25 people who want one so when we get a few more we can price them up, i am not looking to make a profit on this but just a bonnet for my mk1 so i want to keep the price as low as i can, cost price ish
