i can't get the new site to open so i hope someone is still *here* that can help...I am a computer idiot... with that said....let me explain how i need help, please help!!we have a website... i originally made with a program called *webstudio*.. no problems making it or uploading the first time... when i changed info, i was unable to do it, the internet provider did it for me... now we have a new provider.... anyway i need to update the site again, and i can't do iti called the provider, and there was a problem they fixed, but the program i use says it is *done* and on the program it is, but the website stays the same...so i try going into the ftp site they tell me about,,,BIG MISTAKE! all i managed to do was take out the pictures i had on the siteso i call them again, and they say all i need to do is change to ftp folders to www folders and i can change anything i want...that means NOTHING to me! tell me to use a Marlin 44 mag with a 250 keith bullet on the computer, and that i understand!... OK! don't wanna do that just yet... so PLEASE help... what is a good webpage designing program that a computer idiot can use, that will LET me change info over and over ....Bull Shop Mom

BS Mom, I just got back from a Hockey game (Steelheads WON!!  We're in the playoffs!!) so I'm typing really slow.  Not as slow as I'm thinking, but close!

Do you have "Front Page" by Microsoft?  I understand that is a really easy program to use to do what you are trying to do, that is, modify a webpage.

If, however, the webpage is truly changed, maybe there's some sort of "enter" or "apply" control you need to use.

By Monday afternoon, if it isn't working, the 44 Magnum does sound like a viable response to neurocycobable nonsense!  I'd suggest large weight and low velocity.  That way, you get to see more of it while it's happening!!

BSMom, I use Netscape Composer, and if I have to, I'll edit the code in Notepad (knowledge of HTML required).  Simple, easy, free.  I don't care for Front Page and don't use it, but's that's just me.  Some folks think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.  For file transfers I use FTP Pro.  It costs a little for a license, but is worth it.  I do castpics, my own site, and my work site, and a few others all with just these tools.  For photo and picture editing I use MS Photo Shop, Paint.  I just try to keep it simple.  I am by no means a master at this web stuff, but I can make it work.  I don't care for all the fancy stuff, and don't care to learn how to do it.  Again, that's just me, I like simple. btw, I make my living as a programmer (my work web site is only a VERY SMALL portion of what I get paid for). sundog
