Well nothing like Buckshot's big burrito shoot as I was the only one shooting on my range. Had a beautiful day and took out my 30 Luger, Browning HP, and Walther 32 PP. All shooting cast at 25 yards and all doing rather well. The Luger holding 2 inch groups, the Browning is starting to act like my 1911 Gold Cup, it chewed 10 rounds into less then 1.5 inchs with the RCBS 124 gr TC cast bullet. The 32 Walther held about 2-3 inch groups. Then to top off the whole event I grabbed my fishing rod and hit the mountain stream that passes through my back yard, actually my property line is the center of the creek. I caught four nice rainbow trouts which my wife promptly cooked up. Just as Bullshop said "You can't have it any better then that". Joe

Joe,  Bet you don't have any door-to-door salesmen to deal with, either.  Sounds like a rough life, but I am sure you are up to it.  Bill

Bill

Definately no door to door salesmen. If there was my two all black German Shepherds would deal with them (I call them my Stealth Dogs). I had a chuck over my best friend called me one time about going up to PA and spending a week up at his camp in the mountains. I said "Shoot Bob, I live in a camp (our house)in the mountains, literately". I lived in the Rockie out West and when the Mrs and I moved backe East I thought I'd never see any mountains to match the Rockies...I was wrong. Tennessee has some really beautiful mountains. The area we live in borders North West North Carolina, that has some equally spectacualar mountains. Yes, it is nice indeed and I only wish everyone could achieve their dream once in life. Maybe I could talk the hillbilly's into having a blackpowder shoot and we could have some possum burrito's.

Are you in Johnson County?

Yes it is nice to live in the country I looked out about 6;30 this morning and there were 31 turkeys in the front yard.  5 of whom felt that they held a social ranking significant enough to be in full puffed out strut mode!  It is funny they were not even in that mode last weekend.  Will certainly shorten their lifespan!

Season opens next Saturday!!!

Walked back to shoot 22 on my range and there were deer and "wild" feral hog tracks in the wet dirt.

Like to host everything EXCEPT the feral hogs!

Hey I've been wanting to hunt some ferral hogs, maybe we can get together sometime. Let me know.
