I just got a new RCBS 165 SIL boreride mold . The nose is .301 with my alloy (BHN 24) . I need at least .303 to mark the nose with the rifleings.  Any Ideas other than bumping this hard alloy bullet? Thanks...........Buck

Lap the nose out, bump or try a different mold (Lyman 314299). What cartridge are you useing to need a .303" nose?

Im shooting a .308 win. The nose dose not even mark much less engrave the rifleings. A buddy of mine gave me some of his CBs ant they fit well with a .303 nose.

The nose is a bit rough, so lapping may be the way to  go.

I wonder , Ajax or valve lapping compound?? ...Thanks,,,,buck
