Next time the need arises drip melted wax into the hole to fill it. As the tap decends into the hole, all the chips off the teeth are carried up and out of the hole by the displaced wax. Tried it myself the other day. Pretty neat!.....................Buckshot

Believe or not peanut butter will also work the same way. Somehow the wax seems more professional.

Teh tapping lube to tap into a live gas line is also very thick and waxy. It hangs onto metal chips so that there is little chance of one hanging up and letting a line stopper leak by. This process is also used in water lines and foundry's. Gianni.
