I bought a steel scope mount for my Savage 99 on eBay that was advertised as a Weaver and is so marked. However, standard Weaver style rings don't fit it, it looks like the bottom ring must attach to the base by a screw through it. I'd like to know where to get the proper rings. I hope someone can help. The base mounts to the rifle via the two screw holes nearest the loading area cutout and the one hole just barely visible just above the ring slot.

Maineboy: If you had said that mount was marked "Weaver" i would have bet a franc or four that it was a Williams, and used their special rings..Onceabull

Maineboy, that Weaver mount was marketed as the All Steel.  I have a set on my Savage 99F .308, and spares in the mounts drawer for the old short action 110, Mauser 98, and one marked 1419, which corresponds with their regular two piece mount numbers 14 and 19, not sure what that is for right now.  I have two sets of used medium rings (maybe these are actually the low ones) and a set of new in the box high rings.  They are a pretty much permanent mount, not at all quick detachable.  You are right about the rings mounting with a screw through the bottom of the base.  If  you want some rings to use with that mount, PM, email or just answer here.
