Those Savage rifles are like an Eastern Montana farm girl, maybe not the best lookin', but sure can't beat the way they work!

That reminds me of a mud wrestling match I went to years ago, down in the Big Draw country here in western Montana. There were a lot of big ol' biker gals there, who figured they were going to kick butt. The skinny little ranch girls turned them every way but into a rabbit.

This is a great pleasure! I forgot to write  what sights I was using, so they were red field. the front was a post. I hope that I will use this rifle for the next match. I had shot my 223 rem, with a scope, but shot a better group on the target with the 30/06, that day I had wanted to shoot the 45/70, but had to get a match target shot.

DANIEL / BSJR (second place winer)

Bull Shop Sr. has himself a platoon of hard-holding shooters there.  A group to be reckoned with--no pun intended.

Overall, some right fine shooting with some poor conditions in the mix to keep things interesting.  The serial rain-out closures of the range and medical distractions kept me from getting involved this time around--not so for the next installment.
