We've all been good and obeyed our wives and mothers through the holidays. As a reward we can get back to man stuff with a postal match. As your non-competing scorekeeper, I get to satisfy my curiosity by rigging the classes, so please remember BruceB's "no whining" rule. There will be a class for lever, pump, and HUNTING semi-auto rifles, no steenking peestols. Here is the chance to dust off that Remington Model 8 in .25 Rem. or Great Grandpa's rusty 1894 Winchester with the four digit serial number. The usual division between iron and scope sights will apply. The other class will be for bolt, single shot, andALL MILITARY TYPEsemi-auto rifles, no steenking peestols Here is the place for that M1 Garand or Springfield M1A that wins all your club high power matches. Again, iron and scope sights will compete separately. Yes, it is bad news for SKS, AK 47, and .30 M1 Carbine fanciers.Course of fire will be five shots, any position, any target,at 100 yards. No time limit, if your deer rifle walks its shots take all the time you need. Shoot as many targets as you wish and send in the pick of the litter.Naturally, all ammuntion will be loaded with cast boolits. Please write on your target all particulars of rifle, sights and load. (Please include all details, your scorekeeper is always looking for an accurate load) Also, need name and cast boolits handle to properly attribute bragging rights. As weather can be iffy this time of year, you have through Jan. 31, 2005 to complete your targets. Targets will be scored on February 10th to allow for the uncertainies of the U.S. Mail.Sendtargets (up to four, if you compete in all four events) to: ZBill LoseZZ20990 Eaton Rd.Z ZReno, NV 89521Z(Don't put the Z's on your envelope, I'm just trying to stay off as many mailing lists as I can.) Bestest luck to all. curmudgeon
