Tied my some of my own jigs Friday afternoon. First time for me. Caught a 6.32 lb bass with on Saturday. Another first. My biggest yet and on a home made jig. Black and red with a rootbeer red crawdad. There is nothing quite like cathcing a big fish on a home made lure.

Yeah, I've often thought that would be the case, but never have tried making baits, for fly fishing either. The closest experience I can think of is building radio controlled airplanes and flying them ... which I have ... crashing them too! :-)
