I urge you to join all VSO's that will have you. They will search your medical records for claims to get your rating at the VA. Without this key provision, the rating, you may as well walk into a free clinic.

Once you have your prioritity rating at the VA, you become eligible for Chapter 31. With Chapter 31, you become eligible for the education benefits and job training we all were promised when we enlisted. I remember those promises and the promise of a Section 8 also.

There you have it, the mystery is solved. If it is not in your medical records you will have to get witness statements to prove your claim. I urge all Cold War Veterans to get their priority rating at the VA.

If you fail to do so, who knows who the government will "deem" to be a veteran, and therefore place you further back in the line. Remember the song, "place in the line", by Deep Purple? It is true friends.
