I would actually like to see all monuments and memorials corrected with a section for the Cold War, this was a valant attempt to get i...

I have always thought of Joe Hooper and Audie Murphy, when, the words war heros were spoken. Lately though, I have thought often of conscientious objectors during the Vietnam War, who though opposed to war or killing on whatever grounds, went ahead and served their time after voicing their objections, sometimes during combat and with heroism as well. I have always had great admiration for these people, who did not opt for Washington, Canada, Europe, or burning their draft cards. I was curio...

Does anyone know if VA benefits enrollment (I'm interested in the prescriptions benefit) was reestablished for Priority 8 veterans in the 2008 NDAA? Or is the 2008 NDAA still stalled in reconciling differences between Senate and House. I thought that I read a few months ago that President Bush hadn't signed the 2008 NDAA into law over some disagreement with final version. Thanks for any feedback.

Is it permissable/appropriate to wear commemorative medals at the same time as wearing Federal and/or State medals? If it is, what is the order of precedence?I know Federal have precedence over State, so I would assume that commemoratives would have lowest precedence.Do commemoratives have an order of precedence?Regards.

McClintock holds his patches and medals in Jericho, Vt., Thursday,
Sept. 4, 2008. When McClintock boarded the USS Pueblo in early January
1968, he was planning for a three-week mission collecting electronic
intelligence off the coast of North Korea in the Sea of Japan. Instead,
the 24-year-old communications technician from Milton, Mass., found
himself a prisoner of war and a pawn in the Cold War sideshow. Next
week, 40 of the 69 survi...

Listen to the video first, listen carefully in the middle of the video on how the Cold War ends. The President states how the Cold War ended. It is what he doesn't say that is good considering the audience and how careful he had to be with his words. He gives credit to the people (freedom fighters & Nato), he has too, But, I think in how he does this he doesn't throw our Victory out, but suggests without words it ends not by just one nation (the US), but by the European and Russian people th...

The Heritage Foundation"The Foundry Blog" http://blog.heritage.org/2009/02/26/cold-war-what/Anyone care to chime in to this thread? This would be a good opportunity to convey the good things Cold Warriors did during the Cold War and it significance in history as it pertains to today. Please be nonpartisan as needed as this is a high profile blog and the administration could have eyes on. Dr. Carafano authored the entry and could be good support for our cause...
