Why do our forums suddenly have "report" when we go to post?

Hi April,

Please see the Announcement
here.

There was a yellow strip message at the top of every forum for three days alerting members to the Announcement.

There are also several threads in the Help Forum discussing this matter.

Alice, the Aimoo Admin, will add a reply to the message on the Announcement Board, probably on Monday, explaining the details, although it has been mentioned already in other threads.

If you accidently click on the Report Icon, scroll down and click on Cancel.

Babs, that yellow strip is not what I'm talking about.  This is when a person hits the "reply" button to answer someone on a thread, at the top it now has "report" in a square and I hit it by mistake, and it asked me what I wanted to report.  So why is that there now?  Are we supposed to report on each other?

Oh.  I see. Then we are supposed to report each other.  Does this report go to Obama?

Actually, I would like to report someone.  I don't know if she is breaking any rules, but I have known her several years, and very rarely does she post something positive.  99% of her posts are degrading, disgusting remarks about someone who has posted.  She does nothing for a forum except add bitterness, hate, jealousy, and a very fowl mouth.  I wish she was banned from all forums.  Are these breaking rules?

this is really a problem that needs to be felt with by the forum owner and not aimoo, we try to keep all personnel disputes between the parties involved and aimoo doesn't get involved so imo this is not what the report function is for, only if the report goes to the forum owner can it be used for this, the forum owner or admin is responsible for dealing with what you have said, its not up to aimoo to determine who is right or wrong, so I suggest you contact the forum owner in question and raise those concerns with them.
