Is this true?? We just like to have shorter threads and not let them go over to 2, 3, 4 pages and so on.
Please let me know if it is true if we do this we lose points or something??

G'day Faye ... can you please clarify what you mean by losing points. It is up to each forum owner and/or SA to decide how many threads, pages for each thread etc that they wish to have within their forum.

I think what the member told me was thinking about was it might take away from us being a Diamond Group .. Not really sure just what she meant but I thought it would be okay to delete pages, threads , etc. if we wanted to without having a problem.

You can delete posts & topics and members post counts / scores will not be affected, I don't know what being a diamond status forum has to do with what your friend told you

I know what your friends means granny... In our status by our name we are like Plantuim, silver, gold, diamond, etc etc, and it goes by the post you post at the group, or by the Thread you start... You earn your Status..So she wants to know if you delete some of a persons post they will then have less post, will it take them from a Diamond down to a lower Status..
I don't think it would though, cause that person that made that post didn't delete it, you did... If it does, that wouldn't be fair to the person...I sure hope not, cause I have deleted pages before.. lol.. (-:

Deleting posts does not change your Diamond, Gold, Silver status, nor does your post count go down when messages are deleted.

Many Thanks to all who posted in response to my question. I mentioned the first answer from Ozsparkiz and had yet another member of the group say that they too had heard in another group that it takes "points" away when you delete threads or some of the posts.
Now I am going to tell them that in no way does deleting posts or threads takes anything away ..
