Title:Use playlist.com in your forum/profile? Then please read....

If you use a music player provided by playlist.com in either your forum or profile page, you need to be aware of recent changes to their services/functions.
Without warning, they have decided to block many non-US users from accessing their players. While this is almost certainly due to some type of legal dispute over the somewhat thorny issue of online music, it is difficult to be precise about which countries now cannot access the service, since there has been no official announcement from them and they are not responding to requests for further information at this time.
Having been a playlist.com user myself for many years, I can personally confirm that users in the UK are definitely affected. I have also been advised by other playlist users that this is affecting several other European countries, although not all of them, at least not yet.
Why do you need to know?
Put simply, anyone in a country now being blocked is likely to suffer problems accessing your forum/profile if you have a playlist.com player on it. The difficulties people are already known to be experiencing are things like extremely slow page loading, and/or browsers freezing for several minutes or completely crashing, if people in the countries currently affected try to view forums/profiles which include this type of music player.
Should the page actually load, affected users will then see an error message like this appear at the top of the music player.

Currently, the only way around this is to remove the player from your forum/profile. Should I learn anything further in the future regarding an alternative fix I will of course let you know.
