Title:Internet Explorer 9 Problems
Views: 1507
The latest version of Internet Explorer v9 is quite glitchy on aimoo so here is a little bit of help if you do want to use ie9.
Best to set ie9 to compatibility view to iron out ie9 / aimoo problems like uploading images for example.
To set compatibility mode follow these instructions.
If you right click on the toolbar (near the address bar) choose 'command bar' from the drop down menu which gives you the tools link (see below) if you already have this 'tools' option showing move on to fig 2.
Fig 1

Fig 2.
Then click tools > compatibility view (see below)

and you should get this pop up, (see below) make sure aimoo.com shows or at the bottom of the box, choose Display all websites in compatibility view.

Yes I did! I also tried removing aimoo...closed down...and re-added aimoo to the list and I still can't upload to images. I don't know why that would happen right out of the clear blue....I've been using IE9 all along and never had problems uploading before????

G'day Shannon - it may be worthwhile uninstalling IE9 and then reinstalling IE9 again - that may iron out any glitches in the software.

IE9 does not work well when Aimoo runs on it, so I suggest you to change to another browser.

Okay I'll give that a try. The strange thing is that I had it working yesterday and the the day before and now it's stopped again. Trying to upload is fruitless! I guess I'll try firefox again and I'll let you know what happens.

I downloaded Google Chrome and still I can't get the upload to image to work. I really don't know what else to try. I'm at a loss....it seems to work when it wants to.

You are welcome Shannon. Glad my tutorial helped you.
You won't be able to change the font in the Help Forum Shannon. It may look like it is changing in edit mode but it will appear as the defaults when the message is posted. The help team can change theirs which is why you were probably under the impression that everyone could.

I was having problems with my IE9. I uninstalled it yesterday and just put it back on and all my graphics and things are doing and looking the way they are suppose to. I don't know what it was unless IE9 had a glitch or something in it. I also noticed my pages was slowly freezing up but now they aren't. I also saw that they are fixing to come out with IE10.

I don't think it is necessary to change to another browser....I just followed
Karrier's instructions and all I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
This has made all the difference!
Everything I was having problems with, inluding the You Tube Icon not working, smileys not working, a shadow effect with the videos....the spacing when I'm writing GONE!!!
This solution should be put in a tutorial.
Thanks again Karrier!

We have mentioned this dozens of times but never pointed out the Tutorial. Glad you found it Evr and that it did the trick.
Thanks Karrier for the Tutorial. It was posted awhile ago so it slipped my mind.
