Title:What functions would you like added to Aimoo?

Dear Members,
We would like to know your suggestions for new functions in Aimoo.
I have two ideas of my own. One is to add a page for Owners where they can post images of goods they are selling. The images would hyperlink to your listings in your Aimoo forum. Aimoo would act as a Third Party, like eBay. This means that there would be a monthly fee for Sellers, ie $7.50 per month or $20 in advance for three months, plus a small commission payable for each item sold, ie 10%.
The other idea is to offer Aimoo Lucky Numbers every month, similar to a Raffle but you get to choose your own 3 x three-digit numbers (three chances to win) for a cost of $2. You will receive a message to confirm the numbers you chose. We will announce the Winners each month and they can choose a forum of their choice to be awarded with a Diamond prize.
We would like to know your thoughts on these ideas and of course suggestions of your own.

There is a forum opened by Aimoo called Talents Show http://forum4.aimoo.com/talents that I was asked to join and I posted my paintings.....I had been told that it was an opportunity to show them and eventually it would have led to sales.....however I did post all my paintings and then nothing ever happened.......after that.....so no I am not interested....

I am on a fixed income so anything that means more money out of pocket is no go for me. I do not like either of the ideas. I am here to have fun in groups, make new friends, stay in contact with those on line friends I have. I am not here to sell like Ebay or spend money like a Lotto.
If you want ideas on how to make things work better, look better, help groups grow I am all about that.

The only thing I am interested in is having the groups be open everyday with all the tools for posting a pic working. no more..cant find that . etc..

How about fixing the problems most groups are experiencing before anything else? It is frustrating paying for a Diamond Group and not getting what is paid for.

As categories grow, the way the current merge function is implemented becomes less and less useful and more and more a pain in the but. So figure a better way to implement a merger of thread A with B.

I 'M OK WITH WHAT YOU DO HERE. I AM ALSO A REGULAR PARTICIPATE WITH
EBAY. I THINK THAT LINKING THIS SITE WITH EBAY MAY CAUSE SOME MORE
DIFFFICULTY WHEN TRYING TO CONNECT HERE. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I TRY

Perhaps you might want to consider offering a site driving tool for Aimoo Diamond Members, something along the lines that Google and a few others provide. It might be an incentive for Aimoo members to maintain a Diamond Membership, if they see increased traffic to their sites and results over time.
However, your ideas are good, and I think it displays innovation that you request input and feedback from members as well. Any additional optional features added by Aimoo, would always be an asset.

What functions would you like added to Aimoo, you ask?
I would like for a site to be automatically shutdown when it's reported for abuse and for the Admin to investigate the site as soon as it's reported. I would like for a process to be implemented to help reduce the CP issue. I would like for forums to default to a manager's approval for new members.
There are soooo many other things that this place needs before you go ahead and start asking people to shell out moolah.
Just sayin'.

I could care less about reinventing the wheel of eBay thats best left to the pros who know it best,. Aimoo should focus on fixing all the issues here before entertaining the thoughts of any new business ventures which more then likely will be more problems then they are worth.
I want to be able to add script back in to the header and footer. I remember Harry's excuse was it was done for security purposes which was a load of smoke up our behinds. Disabling script in header and footer was a huge mistake and it did not secure people from their names being deleted or 1000s upon 1000s of pedophiles to run rampant.

I agree with many of the other comments left. I would like to "get what we pay for"
then maybe move on to other enterprises. Often times, doing even the tiniest of things takes forever, if it can be done at all...worse than having dial up. Half the time I can't even access my group, and that has discouraged many members. I'd like those issues fixed first.

I think we all voiced what we would like which is to have what is here already work the way it should day after day.
That is what I believe we all would love to see and forget any other ideas till this is done.

I also am on a fixed income, and only pay for diamond so as I can upload images straight from my PC and also not have adds which drive me insane, we never had those on MSN, and XXX or AIMOO will never replace MSN I miss it terribly still.
All the improvement I ask is for Aimoo to work without hiccups and being as slow as a snail.

You may have to think about those group owners who pay for there site ( groups ) as many members here in aimoo just do not have that sort of cash to pay out . even if you ask your members for a couple of dollars ($ ) which i never do . my site is paid by me only .it be far better if aimoo . gets sorted out first . bring PayPal back ( ok dont think thats possible for the owner here )Kevin feng . then sort out the servers . most complaints are for server 4 . real slow . so many owner say . . not that i find it a problem . then if owners who pay for " Diamond " make sure they get the service thats required , . on the other hand > like at the moment we have classic / trendy set up . re-make a set up for those interested in such likes as buying / selling . thats pretty easy to set up .. these are just my views > Ron

I agree with everyone here who commented that Aimoo's top priority needs to be in getting the basic functionality straightened out and working properly. Attempting to add new features on top of existing features that don't work correctly is just another accident looking for a place to happen.

Deal with all our Issues here, and make them run smooth ALWAYS... And Never be shut down for no reason... You have paying members here that don't like the Ads so they pay for Diamond.. And keep the cp out...
And I couldn't agree more about MSN, I loved MSN Groups.. Stil Miss them....

I do agree with almost all above me and I just am not interested in gambling. Because of all that is going on right now I refuse to pay anymore for diamond status because paypal is no longer and I do not like who you use AND I am now making my group here a backup group. I have found a more secure place on the net security and not all the CP that is plaguing Aimoo. I think you need to fix what is wrong now and I too have reported to you the many groups and they are still running, I quess the owner of Aimoo well he must be ok with CP!!

I agree with what others said, fix up what is wrong with aimoo first, then worry about adding stuff.
I will not be taking part in that where we can sell stuff, due I think it will just create another can of worms, for aimoo. I got a bad feeling about that.
I think the Lucky Numbers tho thing is a great idea. That would be fun.
I also would like to see the blog thing taken off aimoo, I don't use it, to me it's just pointless. OR make it so no one can see your blog if we must have them. I also would like that comment thing taken totally out as well.
That's all I have to say on the subject good luck to you aimoo whatever you decide to do. I dont like to sell anything online or give out personal information online wich is what you'd have to do to sell stuff. Just not safe.

I agree with most of the posts and am not interested in anything else from Aimoo asking for my money. Please work on the wish list, make sure the groups are always there for us to open and no more CP. That will make everyone happy for sure.

Get sorted out and stop all crashes I cant get in my groups on server 4 yet again,sort out the cp and make the groups a better place to share our friends being on pension I havnt money to throw away just to make someone extra money.Come on make what you have work.

A lot of us are on fixed incomes ....I for one cannot afford to pay for diamond.....we need the money to keep food on our table.....I even still only have dial up ...as high speed is expensive here for us on pensions...I love my little group for friendship and support when needed.....Lately however it has been rather quiet in group....probably due to the lack of stability....can get in/cannot get in!
I am with everyone else that wants Aimoo to just be a wonderful place to come to.......to see how our friends lives are doing....I do not even mind the ADS......after a while they just blend right in......Tj

I see this as a double edge sword for you. Aimoo needs/wants to make improvements to the system. Improvements cost money. Money is what you are driving at.
Might I say your looking at this a little backward. Re-inventing EBay here or some other revenue generator probably will not work. 1st rule in business, stick to what you know. I do not go to Nordstrom's to buy a lawn mower.
Might I suggest you look to what has gotten Aimoo this far, and see how you can drive that. People need to feel that the diamond level on a forum is truly a value and something that is sought after. I personally know that my 1800+ members enjoy the unlimited picture posting and the advertisement free aspects of it. Maybe you can increase advertising on non Diamond boards. This should accomplish two things. One, hopefully you will be getting paid something by the advertiser, and two it will nudge the non-diamond members who do not like the pervasive advertising to buy some Diamond Time on the Aimoo system. There are many ways to drive customers away, there are only a few that will bring them to you and make them want to open their wallets.

What I would like to see is a full screen chat box instead of the tiny one we have now.
When there are several people in chat all typing at once, it moves so fast we have to scroll back to see what chatters have said.

I remember years ago I managed to get the chat room page to show full screen but I cannot remember how, I will have a play around later on my test one to see if I can do it again.

Jafid2005 -- I don't think the owner is ok with CP , That wasn't even right to say...
They are doing what they can to get the CP out of here... It's just going to take awhile I guess..
I just want Aimoo to run smoothly, not shutting down when they want to clean house, that's not fair to us, they can clean while we are open and running...
And everything working good.. lol.. That's it...
But to be selling to ebay and stuff, No...
I just want our Groups nice and have things and work well, Don't want other things here that have nothing to do with our Groups....

I might be intresed in the second idear, but not until you fix the problem that you already have.
All day in my forums it as been a nightmare to post, posts going slow waiting for ever.
So be right don't you think you should put you'r house in order befor you start taking money from lets say group owners befor you start off the new idears.
If you are not going to do that then I am sorry I won't bother and go along with the reat of what people are saying.

Your two suggestions are fine for who wants them. I have a pet room that allows no selling as puppy mills comes in. We don't even allow people in our room to sell anything.
Anyway here is what I'd like from your survey;
1. To be on line all the time...I am on server one
2. Faster service when posting. I can go to another service like CNN and click and go anywhere within seconds but not here.
3. Problems solved with people posting pix or videos
4. Notice if you are going to work on a server before you do it and owner notice so we can email our members to let them know. I keep my member's emails on my own domain.
I like the set up here. I want to stay. We only have about 300 members but when it goes down and I don't know why I can't personal email them with info as to when it will be back up. That would be helpful.
All and all the Admins and Mods have been very helpful here and I like aimoo but these request are more of what we want then the two things you suggested.
